Premier is pleased to announce that the Catcher South West Appraisal (28/9-1Y) sidetrack well, located in the UK Central North Sea, has successfully encountered excellent quality oil bearing Cromarty sandstones.

15 June - Drilling update - Catcher drill stem test
Premier Oil plc notes that the operator of the Catcher well has today announced that the testing operations on the oil discovery located in the UK Central North Sea Block 28/9 have been completed and the well will now be sidetracked approximately 0.5 kilometres to the east.

3 June - Drilling Update - Catcher discovery
Premier is pleased to announce that the Catcher well, spudded on 17 May, has been drilled to the planned depth of 1543m TVDSS and encountered an oil column within good quality Cromarty age sandstones.
